Living in England, you might have thought that we would be used to British summers.

But the possibility of flooding during August... really?

We're all getting ready to drive down to the beach and we really don't need this right now!

Well there's no getting away from it because the Met Office has released TWO weather warnings for Tuesday (August 8) and Wednesday (August 9).

In fact, it has even predicted that three inches of rain could be pouring down in one day.

Both warnings affect the south east of England, mainly around London, with the first one in place between 11am and 9pm on Tuesday.

The Met Office said: "Showers are expected to develop on Tuesday.

"Where these occur they are likely to be heavy, slow moving and perhaps thundery.

"Some areas may miss the showers entirely whilst others could see two to three hours of heavy rain.

"Where this occurs some disruption is possible such as localised flooding of roads."

The second warning is in place for almost all day Wednesday, from 12.05am to 11.55pm.

"Some transport routes may be affected by localised flooding leading to longer journey times.

"In addition localised flooding of homes and businesses is possible," the Met Office said.

A huge 60-80mm of rain could be coming down in some places.
