London basked in warm weather over the weekend, with highs of around 16°C , but the weekend ahead looks set to be a case of sunshine and showers.
Temperatures peaked at around 15.8°C at Heathrow on Sunday (March 26) and the whole of the weekend brought glorious sunshine.
However the week ahead looks set to be a mixed bag, with high temperatures and patchy rain.
Monday will bring some murky cloud which will clear, bringing sunshine and temperatures as high as 19°C, it will stay dry throughout the day and night.
However Tuesday (March 28) will be more cloudy and there is a chance of showers in the afternoon but it should be dry from around 3pm to 4pm.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Through the rest of the week the winds will be coming from a southerly direction, but will stay mild throughout.
"It will not be as sunny as the weekend.”
Temperatures on Tuesday should be around the 17°C to 18°C mark and between 16°C to 18°C later on in the week.
Thursday might be a touch warmer and temperatures could reach 20°C, however things turn a bit more unsettled by the end of the week.
Showers are expected during the later part of Friday and the weekend.
It will be cloudy over the weekend, with temperatures pegged back a degree compared to the rest of the week, a maximum of 15°C to 16°C is expected over the weekend.
The weather looks drier on Sunday (April 2), the showery weather will clear and there is more chance of staying dry, with temperatures of around 15°C to 16°C.
High pressure brought the sunshine over the weekend (March 25 and 26) and the fact the sun is strong at this time of the year.
