Police in Hounslow are seeking witnesses following a racial incident in which a water bottle was thrown at three women causing alarm due to recent acid attacks.

During the incident the trio women were subjected to verbal racial abuse before a bottle was thrown at them, covering the victims in water.

The incident took place on Hanworth Road in Feltham near Christ Methodist Church on Monday (July 17) just after 9pm.

Officers said an unknown five door black motor vehicle pulled up onto a driveway of a house, with two white males aged between 20 and 22 inside.

They blocked off the path of the females, who are of Chinese origin.

One man shouted racial abuse out of the window then threw a bottle of water, opened, out of the window soaking the women.

The men then drove off.

"The three females were very alarmed due to the recent acid attacks, that they said the water could have been anything," a spokesman for Hounslow Police said.

One man has been described as wearing a plain dark top and the second man wearing an orange top.

The details of vehicle including make and model are unknown.
