This dramatic footage shows the London Air Ambulance helicopter taking off from the usually busy A40 in Northolt after a man fell from a bridge .

The video from Twitter user Tim Garner shows the helicopter rising from the stretch of road between the Greenford Flyover and the Target Roundabout before flying away.

Met police said the man fell from the Target Roundabout, a bridge which towers over the A40.

London Air Ambulance (LAS) were called at 11.15am to reports of a person fallen from a height, with Met police arriving shortly after.

The man was taken to a central London hospital after the Air Ambulance had arrived.

Met police said he had suffered serious injuries but his condition is not yet known at this time.

The A40 between the Greenford Flyover and the Target Roundabout was closed shortly after the incident, but Transport for London (TfL) said the road was reopened at around 12.30pm.
