Dreams really can come true, and one person who can vouch for that is 13-year-old street dancer from Hayes .
Fresh from performing on stage with Justin Bieber , Abdul Basit Ayanwusi , known as Lil Basit, told getwestlondon about his experience dancing alongside the Canadian popstar earlier this week at his 02 Arena shows.
"It was unbelievable" said Lil Basit.
"Dancing alongside Justin Bieber was phenomenal.
"Dancing on stage to a sold out audience with an international star as well as home artists has always been a dream.
"It's something most kids would dream of doing and I've been given that opportunity.
"It shows that anyone can achieve anything if they put their mind to it."
The teenager has only been dancing for three years and alongside sealing a gig with Justin Bieber, he has also held the title of UDO British Street Dance Champion three times in a row.
On Tuesday November 29, Lil Basit appeared on stage at the O2 arena, in front of thousands of screaming Beliebers, to perform as part of Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour.
And at the age of just 13, surely he would have felt nervous? But no, it appears this little dancer is a professional.
"Not nervous, no, not really because I've danced on stage and performed to thousands of people before." said the dancer.
"Although I've never performed to as many people as at Justin Bieber's concert, I am used to dancing and performing to a big audience."
It is not everyday you get to share a stage with one of the biggest stars in the world and Lil Basit is grateful for the opportunity.
He was picked from thousands of other hopefuls, after submitting a video of himself dancing the routine he would ultimately be performing alongside Justin Bieber.
And, it appears he perfected it to a tee as Lil Basit says he has been flooded with compliments.
"People said I was really good," he said.
"Justin Bieber's dancers said I was amazing and loved some of my moves I did in my freestyle."
"People have been saying 'never stop dancing 'and that all my hardwork, commitment and sacrifices have paid off.
"My parents, family, friends and teachers were very proud of me. The support I've had has been amazing."
Whilst on stage, the teenager even got a hi-five from the star.
After performing the hit Children , the Canadian singer spoke to the dancers, asking Lil Basit for his name, before giving the teenager a congratulatory hi-five and asking the audience to "give it up for Basit, my man."
Lil Basit says this has been his biggest achievement to date, and by the sounds of it, this will not be the last we see of this talented dancer from west London.
