Police in Hounslow are warning members of the public not to give money to a particular man who is, according to police, using different tactics to persuade people to hand over cash.

Hounslow locals are being urged to tell the police when they are approached by Darren Bingham, who has previously been reported to police by residents claiming he was knocking on doors for money.

Posting to Facebook on Monday (October 2) the force said: "This is Darren Bingham. Please continue not to give him money and let us know when he asks you for some!

"He will use all different tactics to persuade you to part with your cash."

The police also thanked Facebook users for notifying them when Mr Bingham has been asking for cash, and urged social media users to spread to the word to the elderly and vulnerable.
