A busy road used to cross the River Thames has been closed in Fulham following a collision during rush hour on Tuesday morning (August 9).

There is a full road closure at Wandsworth Bridge Road between Kings Road and Townmead Road, used by commuters to cross the River Thames.

Transport for London (TfL) said the road is likely to remain closed for "some time" following the collision, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of the morning.

getwestlondon has gone to Met police for an update on the collision.

Last week a man was taken to hospital after a collision with a bus in Oxford Street on Thursday (August 4).

Met police were called to reports of a road traffic collision in Oxford Street, Westminster, at 4.10pm near Bond Street station.

Officers said the incident involved a male pedestrian in collision with a bus and attended with the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

He was taken to a London hospital in a serious condition.
