Visitors to the Science Museum were evacuated following a fire scare today (February 10).

It was closed for around an hour after a fire alarm was activated. The museum, in Exhibition Road, South Kensington , posted a tweet shortly before 11.30am that it was evacuating the building as a precaution.

Firefighters later said they were attending after a fire alarm went off, but could not find an signs of a fire.
