The high-rise block of flats in North Kensington had views as far back as the arch over Wembley Stadium

As hundreds of firefighters battled with the raging inferno at Grenfell Tower, these images show the huge scale of the building.

Located on the Lancaster West Estate in North Kensington, pictures show the view from high-rise block of flats had over west London as far back as the arch over Wembley Stadium.

The sheer height of the tower can be seen from these images, where at least six people have died following the blaze in the early hours of Wednesday (June 14) morning.

The devastating fire which has seen some 200 firefighters at the scene tackling the blaze since around 1am, has also led to dozens of people sent to hospital and a number of evacuations in the area.

The building towers over the landmarks including Westfield shopping centre, as well as the A40 and tube lines.

Emergency services including the London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police are in attendance.
