Less than four months remain before Heathrow Airport’s state-of-the-art Terminal 2 welcomes its first passengers.

The £2.5 billion new arrival, dubbed The Queen’s Terminal in honour of the fact it replaces The Queen’s Building which stood on site, is firmly on track for its June 4 debut. The whole project has been a triumph of planning and execution as one of the world’s busiest airports was able to continue operating as normal throughout its construction - a process which has taken over four years.

getwestlondon has obtained video footage from Heathrow’s owners of the terminal's construction taken using time-delay cameras in order to show how it has literally risen from rubble to a completed building.

Despite still being closed to the general public, groups like the chamber of commerce West London Business have already been treated to a sneak preview of the facilities the new terminal will boast.
