Services to and from Victoria station have been disrupted as a result of the flooding that has occurred across west London after June 22's thunderstorms.

Social media users also reported that the station roof had a leak that was leaking onto one of the escalators at the station, causing it to be put out of action.

According to social media reports, Cannon Street by Victoria has also been closed due to flooding.

Network Rail said routes currently affected include South West suburban routes and lines into Victoria.

Victoria isn't the only place to have suffered as a result of the thunderstorms, which weather experts say included 1000 lightening strikes an hour throughout the night, with Ealing and Battersea being hit by floods.

Latchmere Road in Battersea was closed off after water had flooded the road underneath the bridge, while standing water badly affected drivers using Windmill Lane in Southall.

North Harrow station was closed recently due to flash floods , leaving people stranded at the station while the turbulent weather comes after a severe weather warning was issued for London just last week.
