VAULT Festival 2017: Over 200 shows in unique six week art festival in Waterloo

If you're looking for theatre, dance, drinks, or comedy look no further than this central London arts festival

Any Londoners looking to start off 2017 with a generous splash of culture need to look no further than the 200-event arts show, Vault Festival.

This year is the fifth time the festival will run beneath Waterloo Station and will feature hundreds of unique comedy, theatre, music, dance and film events.

There will also be new bars, fresh food and a dazzling array of late night parties during the six weeks the festival runs, from January 25 to March 5.

A statement from the festival's organisers said: “VAULT 2017's limit is beyond the skies and into the stars.

“We've crafted six weeks of entertainment for London: the artists you see here are the big names of tomorrow.

The festival will feature a variety of live events

“VAULT finds inspiration in the future. That's why we've made PROXIMA V – a carefully selected strand of sci-fi and space experiences designed to make you think about where we're all headed, and if we really are all in it together.

“We'd like to be – so beam down beneath the surface and be part of it with us.”

Some of the highlights of the six-week festival are likely to by a performance of F Scott Fitzgerald's 1920s classic novel, The Great Gatsby.

For the first time the festival will also be extending beyond its usual borders to include two new venues, Network Theatre and Morley College.

Ticket prices for VAULT start at £5 and performances run from Wednesday to Sunday.
