A van has overturned on the A40 in Perivale causing queuing traffic this morning (September 2).
One lane has been blocked on the A40 Western Avenue out of town at the Medway Underpass.
It has caused congestion on the A40 Western Avenue to the Hanger Lane Gyratory.
Met police said they were called to reports of a road traffic collision (RTC) at 11.29am.
Officers said they do not believe the person in the van suffered serious injuries.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) is also at the scene.
It comes in the same week a man fell from a bridge in Northolt causing the temporary closure of the A40 .
Met Police were called at 11.19am on Tuesday (August 30) after reports a man had fallen from the Target Roundabout above the A40 in Northolt.
Officers confirmed on Wednesday (August 31) that he had suffered "life-changing injuries", meaning his condition is serious but not life-threatening.
No vehicles were involved in the incident.
The A40 between the Greenford Flyover and the Target Roundabout was closed shortly after the incident before it was reopened at around 12.30pm.
