Police are investigating the unexplained death of a man at a hotel in Earl’s Court.

Officers were called to St Joseph Hotel in Longridge Road on Saturday (November 11) after a man in his late 30s was found collapsed.

One hotel guest says there was a heavy police presence at St Joseph, with officers guarding “patches of blood” on the carpet.

Police were called to the hotel by London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 6.21am, before paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene at 7.07am.

A crime scene was put in place which saw hotel guests confined to their room until they had been interviewed by investigating officers.

A post-mortem has yet to take place.

One hotel guest said she woke up to the sound of doors slamming at around 9am and was greeted with the sight of police, forensics teams and blood on the carpet on the second floor when she stepped out of her room.

Speaking to getwestlondon on Monday (November 13) afternoon, she said: “There are still patches of blood on the landing outside the room, and three police officers there this afternoon guarding it.”

She also said police are checking the ID of all people entering and leaving the hotel.

The guest said she was able to leave her room at around 3pm.

Police enquiries continue.
