Two men were taken to hospital following the evacuation of Bond Street tube station yesterday.

One man was hit by a train on the Jubilee line platform at the underground station, and a second man also treated following the incident on Monday (November 14) morning.

British Transport Police (BTP) said it was called at 10.26am to reports of a man having been struck by a train at the station, in the heart of London's busy shopping district.

Officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) who rushed one man to hospital.

A second male was also taken to hospital for treatment following the incident, said BTP officers.

getwestlondon reported Bond Street tube station was evacuated and delays were experienced on the Jubilee line, in the aftermath of the incident.

A BTP spokesman said: "We were called at 10.26am on Nov 14 to reports of a man having been struck by a train at Bond Street underground station.

"Officers attended along with the ambulance service and the man has been taken to hospital.

"A second man was also taken to hospital for treatment."

Officers at BTP have said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
