Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Feltham in connection with a shooting incident in which a dog was shot.

On Tuesday (January 26), detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command arrested a 20-year-old and 26-year-old who were taken to a west London police station where they have been detained.

A large police presence was reported on social media in Ruscombe Way off Bedfont Lane, on the border between Feltham and Bedfont .

The nearby Southville Nursery and Infant and Southville Junior Schools were reported not to be letting children out of school until the incident had been dealt with.

Metropolitan Police said the arrests were made in connection to shots fired at a residential address on Monday (January 25) just before 9pm at Tyneham Close in Clapham.

During the incident, a dog was shot and injured and is currently receiving veterinary treatment, police added.

Officers and firearms officers attended the scene and established that there were no other reported injuries.

Police enquiries continue.
