Londoner's travel woes are not over yet as RMT union prepares a fresh ballot to strike over Night Tube concerns.

The Rail Maritime and Transport (RMT) union has said it will be balloting its London Underground fleet staff members for strike action over "a breakdown in industrial relations".

Whilst commuters recover from Sunday's 24-hour walkout "carnage" after millions were left in long bus and taxi queues, general secretary of the union, Mick Cash, claimed London Underground Limited (LUL) has gone back on their word.

"LUL management have gone back on agreements over the Night Tube and staffing levels and actively attack our reps for carrying out union duties," he said.

"RMT members and the union will not stand by while an intransigent management attempts to ride roughshod over Tube workers.

"That is why we are balloting our fleet staff members for industrial action.

"The union remains available for talks."

Despite several meet ups between Transport for London bosses and the union to negotiate terms, talks failed to reach a conclusion surrounding the ticket office closures and staff cuts - and now RMT has raised fresh concerns.

It claims LUL has "breached [their] agreement on Night Tube" and failed "to recruit adequate additional staff to cover this work".

Representatives also argue they have been actively attacked for "carrying out their trade union duties".

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan also faced heavy amounts of scrutiny this week as thousands of London Underground workers left their posts over staff cuts and ticket office closures.

City Hall's Labour party said the tube strike was "premature when TfL have committed to reviewing staffing levels and have started process of recruiting 200 staff".
