A trial date has been provisionally set for three individuals and four companies facing manslaughter and negligence charges after a window fell and killed a passing pedestrian.

Amanda Telfer died as she walked along Hanover Square, in Westminster , on August 30 2012.

A court hearing for those accused of being responsible for causing her death will be held at the Old Bailey on January 23 2017. Before that, a plea and directions hearing will take place at the same court on April 1 2016.

The defendants and charges are:

  • Claire Gordon, 35, Ashby Crescent, Leeds: Manslaughter by gross negligence and S7(a) Health & Safety at Work Act 1974: Employee breaching general duty at work

  • Kelvin Adsett (aka Kelvin Schultz), 63, New Road, Slough, Berkshire: Manslaughter by gross negligence and S7(a) Health & Safety at Work Act 1974: Employee breaching general duty at work

  • Steve Rogers, 61, Sheering Mill Lane, Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire: S7(a) Health & Safety at Work Act 1974: Employee breaching general duty at work

  • I S Europe Ltd of Slough, Berkshire: S2 Health & Safety at Work Act 1974: Employer breaching general duty of care to an employee and S3 Health & Safety at Work Act 1974: Employer or self employed person breaching general duty of care to non-employee

The court appearances follow an investigation into Ms Telfer’s death by the Met Police’s Homicide and Major Crime Command and the Health & Safety Executive .
