A trial date has been set for the murder of Pardeep Kaur from Hayes.

Vadims Ruskuls, of no fixed address, was charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of the deceased, and appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday (November 7).

The 24-year-old Latvian national has been remanded in custody until his next appearance for a plea and trial hearing on January 23, 2017 at the Central Criminal Court.

A trial date has been fixed for April 3, 2017.

Metropolitan Police launched a missing persons appeal for Pardeep on October 17, after she failed to return home from work.

Almost a week later, on October 22, her body was found on wasteland under the Harlington High Street flyover in Hayes.

Further tests are due to be carried out following an inconclusive post-mortem examination into the cause of death.
