A group of travellers have been spotted at the green space at Philpot's Farm opposite the Tesco supermarket in Yiewsley.

Around 50 caravans were evicted from the site in July last year, but another small group are now said to have moved in.

A total of five caravans moved in at around 5pm on Thursday evening (January 19) and police were spotted outside the gates to the field, according to multiple reports from residents.

In September last year, Hillingdon Council revealed that cleaning up after travellers had cost them around £200,000

There were 17 reports of travellers at sites in the borough which was described as “much higher” than in previous years.

Travellers also set up in Uxbridge Common in August where they stayed for five days before being moved on by the council.

The police and Hillingdon Borough Council have been approached for comment.
