The grounds have been overtaken regularly in recent months, and there was uproar with residents when the annual village day fair was forced to be cancelled in July and the mess left behind included human faeces.
Watch as travellers turned Norwood Green into a dump in the summer
The situation has clearly taken its toll on local people who have taken to social media site Twitter to urge Ealing council to do something about the reoccurring problem after at least 10 caravans were spotted at the park on Friday (September 23).
Fed up residents want to know what the council are going to do about this issue
Other concerned locals said the situation was getting out of hand
Another person @yeloop tweeted: “starting to think Ealing council secretly enjoy clearing human faeces up.”
However it seems the stay was short-lived as police and the council worked together to get the travellers to leave within 24 hours.
A spokeswoman for Ealing Council said: “There were some travellers within Norwood Green on Friday.
“Within an hour council officers had been to the site and explained they were in breach of a possession order and they left early morning on Saturday (September 24).
“They were there less than 24 hours.”
In August, travellers were forced to move from Ealing Common after they were served an eviction notice from the council.
