A dismayed resident has expressed his fury after a group of travellers who pitched up outside a hotel near Heathrow Airport have not been moved on by police.

The group of around five caravans reportedly moved in to the car park of the Master Robert Hotel in Great West Road on Monday (February 20) evening and have remained there since.

The Hounslow dad, who does not wish to be named, told getwestlondon: "They are in the car park of the pub. How long do we have to put up with them at the hotel?

"I've reported it to the police, they've ignored me."

A series of furious tweets from the resident to Hounslow Police sent the day of their arrival at the car park have yet to be responded to by officers.

It comes just four days after Metropolitan Police in the area moved on a group which settled at Bullbridge Tesco by the Southall and Hounslow border.

Previously this month, police said travellers in Northolt "left a fair bit of mess" after they had been forced to move using a 12-hour order to leave the land.

Just before the mess was reported, Hillingdon Metropolitan Police officers said travellers "illegally broke into land" in Nestles Avenue, Hayes, on February 15 but were moved a day later.

A member of the force said at the time they will deal "robustly and swiftly with illegal incursions into land."

Hounslow Council and the Master Robert Hotel have been approached for comment.
