Earlier this morning congestions was severe

Motorists were facing heavy traffic on the M4 this morning (December 20) after a broken down vehicle near Brentford.

The vehicle had broken down on the M4 Elevated Section out of town after J2 A4 in Brentford before 9am this morning.

All lanes have now been reopened and congestion is easing on the road following the rush hour incident.

After the vehicle had broken down, motorists were stuck in queues for over an hour.
