Reality TV star Mark Wright was one of the famous faces who took part in the Marsden March to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The Only Way Is Essex star was joined by other members of his family who appear on the show, including sister Jess and parents Mark Snr and Carol, for the annual walk which has raised £6.5 million over the past five years.

The event features a 14 mile of five mile sponsored walk between The Royal Marsden’s hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton.

Other familiar faces included actor Larry Lamb, comedian Tim Vine, Nicholas Owen, BBC and Classic FM presenter, and Right Said Fred brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass, who launched the 14-mile march last year.

The Marsden March was set up in 2011 as a way for patients, staff, friends and family to show their support or honour a loved one. Money raised is donated to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity , which funds pioneering work in cancer research, diagnosis, treatment and care to improve the lives of patients at The Royal Marsden and people with cancer throughout the UK and beyond.

Amanda Heaton, head of community and corporate fundraising, said: “It’s been wonderful to see so many inspiring people coming together to raise money for The Royal Marsden.

"Together we’re making life better for people with this disease and building a future beyond cancer for us all. We are so grateful to all our supporters, and can’t wait to do it all again next year.”

The walk took place on March 13.
