An all girls Islamic School in Brent has scooped the top grades for the best GCSE results in west London after everyone passed the exams.

Islamia Girls School in Brondesbury had a 100% of their students acieve grades A* to C in both English and mathematics GCSEs.

The independent school was followed in the list by Menorah High School, also in Brent.

Another faith school, predominantly attended by Orthodox Jewish girls, the Dollis Hill institute came second with 90% of their pupils getting A* to C in English and Maths.

Hammersmith and Fulham borough schools also featured with excellent results, with The Longon Oratory School getting highest results for the inner London area.
