You might want to steer clear of Belgravia, in Westminster, where you'll need more than 50 times the average income in the area to afford a home there.

The median house price in the spot is a jaw-dropping £2,920,000, towering above the net annual household income of £56,502.

That makes it the least affordable place to live in England and Wales, according to figures obtained by getwestlondon from the Office for National Statistics.

But it gets worse for west Londoners, as the 10 least affordable areas in England and Wales all fall in west London.
