At least two people have been hurt following an accident on a busy stretch of road in Ealing.

Three vehicles, two motorbikes and a car are believed to have been in a collision on Church Road in Northolt at around 7.30am on Wednesday (August 24) morning.

Both the motorcycle riders are reported to have sustained leg injuries. The extent of these injuries is unknown at this stage.

Two of the three were closed resulting in queuing traffic as a result on the A40 at Target roundabout.

All lanes were fully opened just after 8.45am but motorists can expect long delays.

This has resulted in congestion up to Hillingdon Circus, White Hart Roundabout and to Northolt tube station.

Reports suggest motorists have been slowing down to look at the accident.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "Two motorcycles and a car have been involved in a collision at 7.30am on Church Road in Northolt.

"Both the motorcyclists have leg injuries."

The crash followed more congestion in Ealing this morning as a result of a burst water main.
