Police have made three arrests after an ATM explosion at a petrol station near Uxbridge on Thursday night (September 8).

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Flying squad carried out an 'intelligence-led' operation and made the arrests after the theft in Denham Green in Buckinghamshire on Thursday.

Police later confirmed one of those arrested was injured during the explosion, which also damaged nearby parked cars.

The explosion was the sixth of its kind in the last month in and around west London.

Similar robberies took place in Ruislip in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 3) and four recently happened in Hounslow .

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Detectives from the Flying Squad conducting an intelligence-led operation have arrested three men on suspicion of burglary after suspects exploded an ATM in Buckinghamshire.

“The men were arrested at approximately 11.40pm on Thursday September 8 at a petrol station in Denham Green.

“All three are currently in custody and pending further enquiries.”
