A third man has been charged by officers investigating the shooting of Ionut Lazar in Shepherd's Bush last October.

Yousef Mohamud, 21, of St Marks Road in Ladbroke Grove, was arrested on Thursday (April 6) and charged with murder on Friday (April 7).

He is due to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Saturday (April 8).

Ionut Lazar was shot in the chest in the early hours of October 22 last year and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Lazar, a Romanian national, had arrived in the country just two days before he was shot.

Two other men have already been charged with his murder – Hanad Mohamed, 18, of Parlaunt Road, Slough and Sufyan ElBakali, 21, of Alpha Place in Kilburn.

Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at the Old Bailey with a provisional trial date set for Monday, July 3.

All three men have also been charged with one count of robbery on a second man committed on October 22.

A 17-year-old boy who was arrested in west London on October 27 on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

A 16-year-old arrested three days later has also been released.

The Metropolitan Police said enquiries continue.
