A man was detained by police on Thursday (March 30) after reports officers had been falsely imprisoned.

The incident happened at around midday at Norland House on the Edward Woods Estate in White City , after police responded to residents complaining about continued antisocial behaviour.

Hammersmith and Fulham Police said it was forced to pull a Taser on a man, but it was not deployed.

A tweet from the force read: “Officers with Taser detained a male who made off from officers, falsely imprisoned them and made off from a drug search.

"Now in custody.”

Police told getwestlondon a 24-year-old man had been detained for a search when he made off into an address at the location, in Queensdale Crescent, where the officers followed him and were prevented from leaving.

Response officers were called to assist and threatened the man with the electric shock gun.

A man has been arrested.
