The winners of an Uxbridge College art competition were given the chance to admire their hard work on display at a newly completed office building in the town centre.

Students from the college in Park Road put together a range artworks around the theme of “London Living” in the contest.

The winners were announced by the judges, including getwestlondon , in January and were put on display in the Belmont building behind Uxbridge station.

An overall winner was chosen and their original team effort is on display in the lobby of the £30million building in Belmont Road.

Speaking at the building's completion MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip Boris Johnson said: “It's been incredible to witness the transformation of this huge building site right in the middle of Uxbridge town centre over the past 18 months.

“Investments like Belmont are crucial for Uxbridge, in terms of job opportunities and increased trade for local retail businesses, as well as enabling us to compete with other west London locations in attracting great employers.

“Belmont's excellent transport links couple with great parking and cycling provision make it an attractive proposition for any corporation looking to relocate to west London.”

Runners up were given displays on the first floor of the building in the middle of the atrium.

There is still no occupier for the building but talks are said to be under way.
