Say goodbye to the thunder storms of Friday (August 18) and wave hello to tropical air as the tail end of Hurricane Gert brings with it a change in the weather.

The air, which is being brought across the Atlantic Ocean from the coasts of Florida and Bermuda, will mean a rather muggy and humid feel over the weekend, but temperatures unfortunately will not be so tropical.

Met Office Meteorologist, Charles Powell told getwestlondon: "We will certainly get a humid feel as we head through Sunday, more especially into the new week, so I don't think we can expect temperatures to rocket up."

Mr Powell does not expect temperatures to exceed 21 to 22°C over the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 21 to 22°C

The Met Office forecast for Saturday (August 19) says: "Another breezy day with sunny spells and just a chance of the odd isolated shower, although these dying away by evening."

The outlook for Sunday (August 20) is mostly dry and sunny with the possibility of rain in the evening.

Great news if you are lucky enough to be heading to V festival at Hylands Park over the weekend.
