Say goodbye to the fleeting sunshine, as the weather is set to become unsettled in London as we head for the weekend in the aftermath of Storm Stella which has battered the US.
While the full force of the storm will not reach the UK, the Met Office has said a low pressure system will move into the UK bringing with it rain and wind.
It will mean a change in the weather front by Friday as the sunny spells we have been experiencing over the last few days will be replaced by gusts of wet and windy weather.
A Met Office spokesman told getwestlondon : "A low pressure system will push up to Iceland -for the UK it will push warm air and low pressure.
"As a result, there will be unsettled weather at the end of the week with rain and wind."
The start of this week has been glorious with temperatures on Monday (March 13) and Tuesday (March 14) reaching highs of 16°C/17°C.
The outlook for the weekend on the Met Office website adds "bands of rain will push in from the west" and parts of Scotland will see "hill snow and patchy ice" with windy weather for all.
If you are heading out for any St Patrick's Day celebrations or attending the parade in London over the weekend then be sure to wrap up warm and take a brolly.
The blizzard caused chaos in the US with power outages and flight cancellations.
