A driver has died following a collision in West Drayton this morning (Friday April 28).

Police were called to Stockley Road near to Cherry Lane Roundabout and Stockley Road bypass at 5.24am.

A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police told getwestlondon: "Officers, LAS and air ambulance all attended.

"One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Other driver stopped at the scene."

According to police, there are no reports of any arrests at this time, but enquiries into the circumstances of the collision ongoing.

Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to call 101 or the Alperton Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8991 9555.

Junction 4 of the M4 for Heathrow Airport / Uxbridge

Stockley Road remains closed close to junction 4 of the M4, Heathrow Spur, according to Transport for London (TfL).

TfL is warning motorists to avoid the area.
