It has been a week of great excitement for Premiership leaders Chelsea and their fans, with the club gaining planning permission for its new 60,000-seater stadium .
But it will be a long time before the club's faithful followers can step into the new ground to watch their team in action.
The distinctive looking " cathedral" stadium will take an estimated four years to build, and the club say there are many hurdles still to clear before work will commence.
Stamford Bridge expansion
But thanks to a Chelsea season ticket holder and computer scientist, fans do not have to wait until then to get a taste of its sights and atmosphere.
Neil Vano, the man behind the virtual tours of the new ground , has created new unofficial renders of inside the stadium, with the Blues taking on London rivals Tottenham.
The images show John Terry in the thick of action, and other general view shots from the stands.
YouTuber Mr Vano said: “The new stadium is a really exciting project and these are my first images of action inside the new stadium.”
Owner Roman Abramovich commissioned Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron - the team behind the Beijing Bird’s Nest Olympic stadium - to transform the ground, and it came up with a design inspired by Westminster Abbey.
In a statement issued minutes after Hammersmith and Fulham Council’s planning and development control committee gave its unanimous backing to the Stamford Bridge expansion, Chelsea said: “The committee decision does not mean that work can begin on site.
“This is just the latest step, although a significant one, that we have to take before we can commence work, including obtaining various other permissions.”
Work must begin on the stadium in Fulham Road, Fulham , within three years before the approval expires.
