Two security officers were robbed and injured whilst delivering cash at an industrial estate in Southall , police said.

A call was made to police at 5.30am to Bulls Bridge Industrial Estate, in Hayes Road, on Thursday (November 9).

Police confirmed that "property" was stolen during the "cash in transit" incident, but no arrests have been made.

An area near the Tesco Extra was taped off whilst officers attended the scene.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Two security officers delivering cash were robbed by two men.

Police were seen at the Tesco Extra store at Bulls Bridge industrial estate

"One security officer was struck with an object and the other was punched.

"Neither officer suffered life changing or threatening injuries.

"Enquiries continue."

Detectives from the Met's Flying Squad are investigating and ask that any witnesses or anyone with any information call them on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC.
