Southall Broadway has been closed in both directions and a teenager taken to hospital following reports of stabbing .

Police were called to the scene at 12.20pm on Friday (June 16) afternoon, and say the victim, a male in his late teens, has been taken to hosital.

London Air Ambulance and London Ambulance also attended.

The man was taken to a west London hospital where his condition is not known.

One person who passed by the Broadway after the incident, who does not wish to be named, said he had heard reports of a stabbing.

He said: “I saw a lot of police cars. They’ve closed part of the Broadway.

“People are walking through but vehicles are not going through. There’s a lot of traffic.

“I was told the casualty was taken to hospital.”

A spokesman for the Met police said: "Police were called Southall Broadway, Ealing, at approximately 12:20pm on 16 June to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the scene.

"A male, aged in his late teens, was taken to a west London hospital.

“Southall Broadway is currently closed in both directions while the scene is dealt with.”

Police later described his injuries as "not life threatening".

No arrests have been made.
