A man has admitted his part in the death of a 28-year-old who was hacked to death with swords in Southall.

Gurinder Singh was allegedly ambushed by a group of men and stabbed to death on July 31 last year.

Palwinder Multani, 36, denied murdering the 28-year-old but pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of manslaughter.

During a hearing at the Old Bailey, Multani, of Tudor Road in Hayes, also admitted assisting an offender and agreed to give evidence against his co-accused.

The court heard the defendant will give evidence at the trial of four people, which is due to start on March 19 2018.

Prosecutor Alan Kent QC said Multani's manslaughter plea was accepted by the Crown.

The 36-year-old was remanded in custody to be sentenced at the conclusion of the case.
