A "half blind, overweight and balding" man tried to encourage two 16-year-old girls into prostitution to make himself "feel like James Bond", a court heard.

Sesum Malik, of Fleming Road, Southall , asked the girls to send him sexually explicit photos of themselves, with one of them being filmed using a sex toy, Reading Crown Court was told.

The 44-year-old was given a suspended prison sentence on Friday, June 17, after admitting four offences of causing or inciting a child into prostitution and/or child pornography.

The former RAF man, who later worked at KwikFit in Hounslow, had told the girls they would be paid if they sent him photos to upload onto what he called an "adult working" website, the court heard.

Malik met girls through rave scene, when one was just 15

One of them was twice paid for sex, while he lied to the other by boasting that he ran a brothel.

One of the girls was just 15 when Malik first met her through the rave scene, but he claimed he thought both were over 18.

Malik broke down into uncontrollable sobbing when told he was being spared an immediate prison sentence, having tried to kill himself when he was first arrested in connection to the offences 18 months ago.

The court heard the offences were committed between September and November 2014, when both girls were aged 16, although Malik had known them for around a year previously.

He was later told the real age of the girls, neither of whom can be named for legal reasons, and a judge said he had been naive to think they were 18.

Malik had sex with one girl and pimped her out

The court heard that Malik had sex with one of the girls and pimped her out to another two men.

It was told he kissed the other girl and touched her breasts and bottom during a car journey to Harrow , before sending a Facebook message asking her if she would have sex with him for money.

Sentencing Malik, Judge Alexia Durran said: "You befriended them and acted in order to win their confidence. You offered to drive them around at the end of raves; that's suggested as using grooming-like behaviour.

"What you were doing was befriending them in order to see how far you could go.

"By your own admission, you described yourself as half blind, overweight and balding, and feeling inadequate and unattractive. It was having contact with them that was able to give you a feeling like being James Bond.

"In relation to the first girl, there may have been some sort of throwaway remark to do with prostitution, which became a more serious conversation.

"There was no contact for a period of time, then you sent her a message asking if she would f*** you for money. You followed it with conversations of a more serious nature, which indicated more of your fantasy world.

"You told her you managed a brothel and got pictures uploaded. You told her she'd get an income when the images were viewed."

'Remorseful defendant tried to jump out of bedroom window'

Judge Durran said Malik had sex with the second girl, before passing her on to a second man, for which she was paid £100.

On another occasion Malik arranged for the girl to have sex with a man in his 60s, but the pair did not have sex and instead spent their time together simply lying on the bed talking. She received payment for this however.

Judge Durran said the second girl had also sent explicit images and videos of herself to Malik, including a video of her performing oral sex on the defendant.

John Lyons, defending, said the police investigation had had a "traumatic" effect on Malik, who had tried to jump out of a bedroom window of his home.

"This is a man who feels enormous shame and substantial remorse," he told the court.

Malik left the Royal Air Force in 1999 to take a job at Kwik Fit in Hounslow, but was forced to quit five years later when an accident left him blind in one eye.

'Defendant likely to soon be completely blind'

He now suffers an incurable condition in his other eye and the likelihood is he will soon be completely blind, Mr Lyons said, and he had had benign tumours removed from his mouth.

"His interest in these two young women was primarily in order to achieve sexual gratification for himself," added Mr Lyons.

Judge Durran handed down a 24-month prison sentence suspended for two years, meaning Malik could be locked up if he commits a further offence in that time.

The defendant was ordered to attend a community sex offender group work programme for 100 days and was made subject to a 24-month supervision order.

Malik was also made subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was barred from having unsupervised contact with girls under the age of 16.

When being warned that he could be brought back to court again if he breached the terms of the suspended sentence, Malik told Judge Durran through his tears: "You'll never see me again."
