A 28-year-old man has been cleared of harassing his former girlfriend who lived in Pinner.

Ravi Ram, of Southall, was acquitted of harassment without violence at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday when magistrates who said he had no case to answer - because new evidence had been supplied.

The court previously heard Mr Ram was prosecuted after she reported to police that he had harassed her after the relationship had ended with more than 100 What’s App messages in just a few days.

Mr Ram had originally admitted harassment at a hearing at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 18.

However, before he was due to be sentenced he changed his plea to not guilty and so it went to trial.

Mr Ram had also been charged with criminal damage charge in relation to a broken window pane in a door at his former girlfriend’s home, but was acquitted of that charge in October last year when magistrates accepted that witnesses failed to agree on the circumstance leading to the breakage.
