Twinkleham, London Winterloo and Houns-snow are just some of the stops South West Trains passengers are finding themselves being whisked away to this Christmas .

Those travelling on the South West Trains service over the past few days would have seen the alterations to journey stops.

Train users have not had it easy in the run up to Christmas with Southern services suffering disruption due to strikes, so South West Trains decided to spread some festive joy this festive period.

Twickenham has been changed to Twinkleham, Hounslow is now Houns-snow and Clapham Junction has transformed into Clapham Jingle Bells.

And passengers are loving it.

A spokesman for South West Trains said: “We wanted to do something to spread some festive cheer so asked our Twitter followers to rename some of our stations.

"We received lots of positive tweets and suggestions and over the weekend managed to temporarily rename 50 different stations with Christmas puns including London Winterloo, Houns-snow and Wo three Kings.”

South West Trains launched its festive makeover at the weekend, but following positive reaction from passengers, it appears commuters are also getting a taste of the festive spirit, with many commenting on the name changes on Monday Morning, December 19, and even sending in a few suggestions to the train company.
