South Ruislip's Cineworld, set in the Arla Dairies development, has finally announced its opening date.

The 11-screen cinema will be screening the latest blockbusters from Friday July 7.

Showing both Hollywood and Bollywood movies, the state of the art cinema will be opening just in time to screen Marvel's latest "Spiderman: Homecoming" on its opening weekend.

As well as the 11 screens offering Ruislip residents the latest movies, there will also be a Starbucks and Baskin Robbins ice cream counter at the multiplex.

Alongside the Cineworld, there will be an Asda, petrol station, five restaurants and 183 new homes

The development by Citygrove, is based on the site of the former Arla dairies in South Ruislip and also features an Asda , Nando's, Chiquito, Frankie & Benny's, Bella Italia and Asian restaurant Mimosa.

The Asda is set to open its doors on Monday May 22, while the Nando's has already opened.

The Old Dairy development off Victoria Road also sees 183 homes built and a public piazza.

Youngsters have been kept in mind, with £2 tickets for 'juniors' available on selected weekdays and school holidays. Youngsters can also flash their NUS student cards for a discount.

The cinema is also offering venue hire.

Sam Tomlinson, Cineworld South Ruislip general manager, said: " We cannot wait to open Cineworld South Ruislip in time for such a fantastic line-up of films coming up, like Dunkirk, War for the Planet of the Apes, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and many more.

"We are looking forward to welcoming the community to share our passion for film when we open our doors Friday July 7.”
