A lone robber is being hunted by the Metropolitan Police after a petrol garage in South Ruislip was believed to have been held up at gunpoint.

Cash was stolen from the BP Connect petrol station in Victoria Road at around 8.25pm on Friday (April 14).

The suspect was believed to have been wielding a gun and officers from the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad are investigating.

No arrests have been made but police said enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesman for the Met said: “Detectives from the Met's Flying Squad are investigating an armed robbery at the BP Connect Petrol station, Victoria Road, Ruislip.

“A quantity of cash was stolen from the till by a lone robber.

“The man was believed to be armed with a firearm.”

No arrests have been made
