South Harrow police incident: Man stabbed in chest near takeaway where teenager was murdered last year

The incident occurred near the same takeaways were a teenager was fatally stabbed a year ago

A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in the chest near takeaways in South Harrow .

Emergency services were called at 9.47pm on Saturday (September 9) to Northolt Road, to reports of a man stabbed.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We sent an ambulance crew and incident response officer to the scene.

"We treated a man at the scene for a chest injury and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre."

Flashing blue lights and emergency vehicles were seen near Chicken Hut and Kebabish takeaways - the same area in which innocent University student Hussein Ahmed was stabbed to death in November last year.

In a statement for the incident on Saturday September 9, Metropolitan Police said it was called by London Ambulance Service at 9.50pm to reports of a "man stabbed".

A spokesman for the force said: "The victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken to a central London hospital for treatment.

"He was discharged the following morning."

Police have not yet made any arrests and their enquiries continue.
