A search for a group of youths remains ongoing almost a week after a priest was punched in the face outside South Ealing underground station.

British Transport Police (BTP) said the gang of three or four youths attacked the priest at around 9.30am on Thursday May 11.

It is believed the the victim was wearing religious clothing

BTP is appealing for information on the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Kevin Buck, said after the incident: "We’ve had a number of reports of a nasty assault taking place this morning and so have launched an investigation to find out what happened.

"We’re appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident taking place, or to the victim himself.

"Please come forward, as this kind of behaviour is unacceptable and it is important we locate the offenders."
