The London Fire brigade had to pump water away from the stores in the shopping centre and used sandbags to control the flow.

A spokesman said the shopping centre and car park will open today.

All entrances are currently open except Broadway Mall (the entrance next to Monsoon and Baron Jon).

However, the shops in that area have suffered badly from the flooding and are unlikely to open today.

The Watermans Centre in Brentford was also flooded yesterday including its projection room so it had to cancel the planned cinema screening of Grand Central.

Brentford's war memorial service for WW1 was moved to August 24 because of the weather.
