Firefighters are at the scene of Shepherd's Bush Green where a fire has broken out at a flat next to the Tube station.
They were called at 3.45pm and London Fire Brigade (LFB) initially sent eight fire engines. According to their latest statement there are now 12 fire engines and 80 firefighters at the scene.
Plumes of smoke can be seen billowing into the distance from a tower block, which appears to be on West 12 Shopping Centre, by the green.
Flames can also be seen from several floors of the building.
The nearby Tube station, on the opposite side of Shepherd's Bush Green, has been closed and roads near the area are also being sealed off.
An Air Ambulance was also seen landing at the scene.

Natasha Wills, Assistant Director of Operations at London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4:01pm to reports of a fire at an address in Shepherds Bush.
"We sent multiple resources including ambulance crews, single responders in cars, our hazardous area response team and an incident response officer.
"We remain at the scene."
Fire over, but some conerns remain unresolved
We’re going to end our coverage of this incident now. Earlier, firefighters worked to put out a huge fire in a block of flats in Shepherd’s Bush Green.
The dramatic sight brought rush hour London to a standstill as onlookers gathers at the police tape, where the surrounding roads were closed, to watch the incident unfold.

We had reports that one person was treated by paramedics at the scene, and the sight of the Air Ambulance helicopter landing there was a worrying one.

Reports are coming through that London Ambulance Service treated one person at the scene. The blaze affected part of the seventh, eighth and ninth floors of the 18 storey building. And there were over 40 emergency-999 calls made

For those of you just joining us, there has been a huge fire at a tower block in Shepherd’s Bush. According to witnesses flames broke out in the block over the West 12 Shopping Centre at around 3.45pm. An air ambulance was seen landing nearby. London Fire Brigade say 80 firefighters were at the scene.
'No-one trapped'
But police at the scene have told a getwestlondon reporter at the scene that they believe everyone managed to escape the tower block

The LFB spokesperson could not say if anyone had been hurt in the fire, and said it was too early to give details of damage caused to the building
