Thunderstorms are on their way to the capital as the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for Friday (June 2).
Forecasts show the weather will take a turn for the worse from the afternoon and continue into the evening.
While temperatures will remain in the 20s there is risk of torrential downpours.
Some may miss the worst of it, but the change in weather fronts could lead to localised flooding and difficult driving conditions.
There is also a chance of frequent lightning and hail which could be further hazardous.
The national severe weather warning for rain in the south-east today will make way for fresher weather over the weekend.
