Commuters travelling into work this morning could experience some delays on a number of underground lines.

Transport for London (TfL) has reported severe delays on the District line due to a signal failure at Fulham Broadway, on Tuesday (July 12).

There is no service between Wimbledon station and Earl's Court station following the glitch which is currently being fixed by engineers.

As a result there is major disruption between Earl's Court and Edgware Road stations.

TfL has reported a good service is being operated on the rest of the line.

There are also minor delays on the Bakerloo Line due to an earlier faulty train at Queens Park station.

Both situations were reported to be resolved by 8am.

During the evening rush hour on Monday (July 11), hundreds of passengers gathered at Victoria station to stage a protest against the revised timetable which saw hundreds of daily services cut on Southern Railway services.
