Passengers are facing delays between High Street Kensington and Ealing Broadway due to a dog on the track.

A post on the District Line Twitter account said at around 1.30pm that the animal was on the track and that delays would ensue.

Severe delays between Edgware Road and Ealing Broadway have also resulted from the dog's trespassing.

People took to Twitter to express their frustration at the delay.

Scott Dance said: "There's a dog running about on the District Line between West Kensington and Earl's Court. My train's been stopped 3 times already!"

And Mark Lowe added: "Hoping for good news about the dog who ran from Bayswater to Notting Hill Gate on the tracks please!"

Earlier this week it was announced that Northern line services will start running as part of the Night Tube from November, Sadiq Khan announced.

The Mayor of London said trains on the line will travel through the night from November 18.

The announcement was made on Friday (October 7), just hours before the all-night service runs of the Jubilee line for the first time.
